Dog’s Racist Rant
Posted on:
A&E has suspended production on “Dog the Bounty Hunter” pending an investigation into the audiotape of the racist tirade of Duane “Dog” Chapman.
The National Enquirer obtained two tapes of phone conversations between Dog and his son Tucker, in which Chapman unleashes a shocking racist rant filled with the N-word and other racial slurs, directed at Tucker’s girlfriend, Monique Shinnery, who is black.

sooooo WHAT!!!!
This is so stupid. He was having a private call. Love the Dog, bring him back.
I KNOW it’s a DAMN SHAME that someone like “IMUS” can be widely accepted for years as being rascist before a live media, rascist comment does him in and “DOG” has a PRIVATE conversation with his biologic child and he has a lucerative job yanked away from him.
The media are only concerned about THEIR image not the image of their money makers!!!!
i am struggling with this issue as a private citizen myself! People crucify me as well but i am struggling and i would think the fact that “DOG” was so shocking is proof he has been struggling with the issue as well. However “IMUS” NEVER struggled with it… FMMMMMMMKMMMMMMMING self-centered media execs.
He lost it.
He apologized.
Nobody is perfect.
I’m sure he will be thoroughly punished.
im a bounty hunter also and im an african american, and if he said this in a private conversation then what do you think comes out of his mouth when in the heat of the hunt.his statements were wrong and now he his true colors will shine its better see them now then later……apology not excepted get some help dog
I use to like dog, but now that i know he is not just a dog, he’s a racist dog i could care less about him or his show. He should have been careful to keep the fact that he is a racist under wraps. I hope that his show is never aired agin, i also hope that from this his kids learn something about being a racist isn’t good.
He’s always on tv praying with the people that he captures, he should have been praying that god deliver his heart from ignorance.
I really don’t care. I’m African American and have
heard the N word from all races. Why should we care who uses it? Why are we always giving power to the silly selfish things silly selfish people say?
Wow! What more can I say? I am an African American professional woman, with a MBA, Ph.D. I liked watching the show and felt Dog was “sincere”. I was impressed how he was in prison and turned his life around. I mentioned Dog in my past public speaking events, when I spoke to inner city youth, at-risk teenagers, people with disabilities, and/or adults facing various life changing situations. In my book draft, I “had” a quote from one of Dog’s shows. While one comment may not mean Dog is not “sincere” it certainly makes one “wonder”. Being in the public eye one has to be very cautious what one says. I understand the conversation was “private”, however one almost has to act like they are on “video camera” 24-7. Moving forward hopefully Dog can learn from this incident?—-it shall be like a correction-of-errors, per se???
Almost nothing is impossible—-thus, Dog may be able to keep his show and many of his fans, but Dog and A & E TV have a long, twisted, hard road ahead of them. Dog may want to do what Denny’s did and hire African Americans to his staff and/or have the African American girlfriend that is dating his son on the show??? Not sure—-but something definitely needs to be done to turn this “negative” into a “positive”. Thank you so very much for your time.
I will no longer watch the show. It is a shame to find out the way you truly feel. He seemed like a good guy praying all time about family vaules. I feel that this will be a mistake that he will have to pay for, but God forgives all people. I wish him the best, but he was wrong and now he must suffer the consequences.
What’s interesting is that he said in his conversation that “I’m not gonna take a chance ever in life of losing everything I’ve worked for for 30 years because some fucking ni**er heard us say ni**er and turned us in to the Enquirer magazine.” But thanks to the release of this statement, he HAS lost much of what he has worked for for 30 years, apparently because he insists on using the n-word. He did this to himself.
Someone said you can always tell who is a gentleman by what he does when no one is watching. “The Dog” clearly is not a gentleman and maybe not much better off than the people he goes after.
And what upsets me the most is that he calls himself an evangelical Christian and prays on his TV show, but doesn’t know how to treat other people with love, compassion and respect.
It was no big deal that he used the word. Many people do. But how he used it in addressing his son’s girlfriend made all the difference to me. Take the show off the network. He is old and needs to retire anyways. Maybe we all need to pray for him. How can he represent himself as someone to look up to?
Leave Dog alone…The better of a person someone is, the more crap they have to put up with. Ever since he appeared on the scene, as well as his family, they have been held under a microscope, someone hoping to find the least little infraction. The media and the public cannot deal with someone being genuinely good. No, the Chapmans aren’t perfect, by any means, but I’d take a million Chapmans over most other people any day. He screwed up, he apologized, get over it.
Leave Dog the hell alone! As an African-American woman who thinks his show is a hoot, the real loser hear is Dog’s son, Tucker. Shame, shame, shame. How could you humiliate your father publicly and destroy your family’s livelihood? After hearing the rant and reading all of the coverage, I totally see how the context with which the work n—- was used. My friends, my family and sometimes even I, use the word within the same context. Whether or not you think the word should be abolished from use, it has a functional use among friends and family–sometimes in humor, sometimes in relaying a certain character of a person, and for some unfortunate people, as a racist term. NOT EVERY USE OF THE WORD IS RACIST. Only Dog and his family know if they ever used the word in the intended negative context, but for those who use it liberally, white and black, the word evokes various contexts.
The point is not why Dog used the word “n–” The point is why his sorry ass, low-life son would attempt to destroy a man who has obviously come from a harsh background and is doing the best he can as we all are to make a life for himself and his family.
I hope Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton shut the hell up on this one.
Bring Dog back!
THIS IS BULL…THE MAN WAS HEVING A PRIVATE, I REPEAT PRIVATE CONVERSATION. THE MAJORITY OF BLACKS I KNOW CALL WHITES ‘CRACKERS’, MEXICANS ‘WETBACKS’, ASIANS ‘CHINKS’, AND FOR SOME REASON THINK ALL PEOPLE FROM THE MIDDLE EAST ARE ‘ARABS’ LIKE THE’RE ALL FROM ARABIA. AND SO ON. BUT AS SOON AS WE FIND OUT PEOPLE CALL US NIGGER BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WE HAVE A FREAKING HEART ATTACK.
I THINK BLACKS WHO ARE SERIOUSLY OFFENDED BY THIS ARE HYPOCRITES, BECAUSE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WE ALMOST ALL USE SOME SORT OF RACIAL SLUR. THIS IS SOME REAL BULL.
I’m glad Dog called his son’s girlfriend a n***er, cause she is one. That’s right, I said it, and you know what? Dog’s son’s a n***er for turning in the tape for money. (Do you see the context i’m using the word in?) Who the hell sells out his own family? And what the f**k’s he doing taping his conversation anyway? If I was Dog I’d take Leland and the rest of the boys and kick Tucker’s backstabbing a** for ruining the family’s career. And to all you ignorant a**holes out there taking offense: Get off your high horses. It’s people like you that stunt the progress of the African American culture. I mean we f**ked the Indians over much worse than you and look at them now…they’ve turned the s**tty land we did give back to them into casino country and are making a great living off of it. While you’re still b*tching about how you were enslaved hundreds of years ago. Get with the program people…focus on your current problems and try to fix them instead of focussing all your energy on crucifying the next white guy to use the n-word. And as far as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton go…You two are the biggest hippocrites I’ve seen and I think it’s ludicrous for us to have to apologize to you everytime the black community thinks that we’re being racist. What the hell people? I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. It’s just that everyone else is afraid to say something due to the fact that they’ll be called racist. Personally I don’t give a f**k. What do you want me to do? Apologize and kiss Al Sharpton’s a** like everyone else does? Let’s face the truth…you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to shut Dog’s show down cause he’s one more person giving you a bad name. Well I say all you f**kin human rights NCAA pricks should get off your high horses and go f**k yourselves
WHO CARES!?! leave him alone. Im sure everybody has said or heard worse!
Look how many rapist and murders and felony breaking people he has put in prison. The people who the cops cant find. He can say what he wants!

Lets get things straight.. i read dogs book and if you only knew the hardships he has went through in his life. its sad that when a whit guy says the n word its all racial but when a black person says it its all fine and dandy.. then the black person can call white people crackers and get away with it. the definiton of that word is a nerogatory person meaning nast. its doesnt specify which race it is cause its not directy at any one group. yall leave him the hell alone. he puts fugitives behind bars all the time but in law enforcement you only care about the bad things that happen… so just get over yourselves if you dont like him after this fine move the hell on and stop dragging it out.. for those of you loyal fans as myself keep watching and prasie him for all the hard work and determination him and his family do for the world each and every day if someone feels offended about this just let me know k
