Charlize Theron is trying to upstage Kellie Pickler when it comes to all things geographical. The actress recently spent time in Turkey and got very confused when sharing her travel stories after the fact.

Theron sat for an interview with Daily Mail to promote the UK release of her latest film In The Valley of Elah. She made the mistake of sharing the details of a trip she took with her boyfriend Stuart Townsend. She gushed about their road trip to Budapest, Turkey.

She went on and on about how wonderful it had been and the delight they experienced when they arrived to find a huge film festival underway. The event was actually the Istanbul Film Festival and she had confused the Hungarian city with her actual travel destination.

The actress is blonde but we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. Not sure we can say the same about Kellie Pickler. She was in WAY over her head when she recently appeared on the TV game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? It turns out she wasn’t and we have the video to prove it.
