Britney Spears and her mom, Lynne Spears, went clothes shopping at Miss Sixty in West Hollywood on Wednesday. Britney was looking for a new pair of jeans and ended up buying a few items.

Daily Mail has a nice assortment of photos of Britney, looking pretty good. After seeing those nasty dance studio back alley shots, we really don’t expect much and are pleasantly surprised when she makes an effort with her appearance.

It’s good to see her out with her mom. Lynne and Jamie have taken a beating in the press over their alleged lack of concern for their daughter’s welfare. It appears they have finally been able to gain Britney’s confidence. All appears under control in the Britney camp and it is likely a combination of the banishment of control freak Sam Lutfi and the fact that the pop star is now relying on her family for guidance and counsel. She even took the time to teach some little girls some dance moves.

As much as we seem to fixate on Brit’s crazy antics, there will always be someone willing to emerge and capture the limelight. Paris or Lindsay are already waiting in the wings. Go girls.
