Simon Cowell graced Regis and Kelly with his presence this morning and gave them the lowdown on his relationship with Ryan Seacrest, claiming the American Idol host is obsessed with him.

Cowell claims that a “fantastic” beach photo taken of him on holiday drove Ryan nuts “in an obsessive, inappropriate way,” and says Seacrest is like a little chihuahua on his leg.

Cowell also admits that he doesn’t like to see his friends doing well, that it makes him depressed. “I don’t get happy when people I know are successful,” he claims, “and if it’s Ryan, I’m like, suicidal.”

Although I really don’t buy into the Seacrest is gay rumors, in a behind-the-scenes look at American Idol on Regis and Kelly yesterday, Ryan did seem awfully obsessed with Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, calling him “too perfect” and asking him repeatedly if he has any flaws.
