50 Cent is Leaving MySpace and His Million Fans
Rapper 50 Cent is just one of many artists that have decided to branch out and start their own social site. Although 50 will be leaving over a million fans on MySpace, I am sure many will follow. 50’s new site is called Thisis50.com.
The difference between MySpace and Thisis50 is that you will not just be creating a profile and finding friends but the rapper will have direct access to your email address. So you should expect lots of self promotion emails.
To make sure that this is clear - this is not a fan club site. This is strictly for 50 to promote his music and the music of other artists that he likes. Oh, and the other stuff that social sites do. You will be able to add friends and if you are lucky 50 will write about your profile in news stories on the site.
A few other stars who are branching out into the social network are, Ludacris, Kylie Minogue and the Pussy Cat Dolls. Smart move, we all know that the founders of MySpace and Facebook are sitting pretty high on life right now.
