Air America Radio Host Randi Rhodes Suspended for Calling Clinton and Ferraro ‘Whores’ (Video, Photos)
Randi Rhodes 49, is an American liberal talk radio personality featured on Air America Radio. She was suspended today for calling Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro ‘whores’. Following is a statement that has been posted on Air America’s website:
STATEMENT OF AIR AMERICA RADIO, FROM CHAIRMAN CHARLIE KIREKER:
NEW YORK — Air America has suspended on-air host Randi Rhodes for making inappropriate statements about prominent figures, including Sen. Hillary Clinton, at a recent public appearance on behalf of Air America in San Francisco which was sponsored by an Air America affiliate station.
“Air America encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our hosts,” said chairman Charlie Kireker.
Air America was also the employer of former Executive V.P. Tom Athans. He left Air America in 2006. He made news earlier this week when he was picked up in a prostitution sting. He is the husband of Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. See story here.
Rhodes foul mouthed tirade is peppered with profane language. She drops the F bomb repeatedly and also throws in some dialogue about ex governor Spitzer throughout her hate filled spiel. Some are likening her to Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Hmmmm.

bogus. randi tells it like it is.
The real issue here is a corporate attack on freedom of speech. Between corporations and Republicans like the Bushes and the Clintons, we won’t have any freedoms left.
Well, Lets hear it for the 2 faced Air America. Being an indi radio (internet only) personality, I say WTG Randi. It’s important to be objective when people look to you to be the voice of reason. It’s tell it like it is.. not tell them what they want to hear.
GRANTED… Air America has been known as an Anti-republican station forever… I have watched them rise and then fall flat on their faces because it’s the same tired worn out bs. Atleast Randi had the gall to speak her mind. There is not a doubt in my mind that she was telling it like it is…
The suck part of it tho, is that this proves that AA is nothing more than a sock puppet on the hands of the Democratic party and their supporters… God forbid you bash someone from “Club Dem”… and they’ll slit your throat. Let this be a lesson to the loyal listeners who think they’re getting objective info from Air America.. It’s all just pre-washed watered down noise to infuriate the masses.
I hope to see her on her own XM station soon.
