Rob Lowe’s former nanny, Jessica Gibson, appeared on The Today Show with her attorney, Gloria Allred, to address allegations of blackmail by her former employer.

Lowe and his wife, who recently filed a lawsuit against the nanny and two other former employees, contend that Gibson tried to extort money from them, demanding $1.5 million for her silence.

Interestingly, when questioned about whether she had demanded money from the couple, Gibson didn’t respond, and Allred jumps in claiming her client “did not engage in any improper conduct at all.”

Gibson also avoided questions of how she was sexually abused and inconsistencies with her allegations.

Allred most notably represented Amber Frey when she testified in the case against Scott Peterson.

Does anyone else find this woman annoying? How many times can she talk about how scary it is for this poor helpless girl to go up against a rich and powerful and famous celebrity like Rob Lowe (ooooh scary) in a five minute interview?
