Could rumors that TomKat’s marriage is in trouble actually be true? The internet has been buzzing for months that Katie Holmes is tiring of her role as “the good wife” of Tom Cruise.

According to Star magazine, Katie is Broadway bound and the move to Manhattan is a trial separation as she tries to break away from her controlled life with Tom.

Crushed by the weight of her marriage to Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes is striking out on her own — and she’s determined to take their daughter, Suri, with her to New York City. But insiders say that Tom’s having none of it.

“She desperately needs to be on her own for a while, but there’s no way Tom is going to let her take Suri away,” an insider tells Star. “There’s no way he’ll allow it. He just doesn’t want Katie — or Suri — out of his sight for long. He told her that if she goes to New York, fine, but he goes with her.”

A source claims that as a result of the couple’s troubles, little Suri is getting lost in the shuffle, spending less time with her parents and more time with nannies.

The mag also claims that Tom pays Katie $500,000 a year. What’s that all about? Something about this relationship has just seemed “off” from the beginning.
