This is too funny to pass up. It seems that a group of seven women from Madrid, Spain wanted to make money for their children’s small school and while brain storming they came up with the perfect plan. Taking a page from the movie Calendar Girls, they opted to make a discreet calendar to raise money. Their thought process was that if a bunch of British women could raise $1 million, then they wanted a piece of that action too.

Hahahaha- well the joke is on them I guess. Not only did they go into debt to the tune of $16,000 but they still have 5,000 unsold copies. Probably a bit awkward to give them to your family and friends as gifts.

I wonder if it was the red lipstick that turned people off…you know not everyone can pull that off. I wish I had the calendar because word on the street is that you get to see Miss October naked in a fox fur and holding a gun. Some of you may be thinking sweeeet, where can we get a copy.

The womens calendar didn’t hit the stands until November so they may have missed the early Christmas rush. The asking price is $8 each – which is cheap for twelve months worth – a merely 66 cents per pose.

The women are behind on their payments to the publisher. Nearly 5 months into the year they’ll need to slash their pricing severely. These women had their hearts in the right place in trying to earn money for their kids but next time maybe they should stick with a bake sale.
