Cameron Diaz, who recently lost her father, was not at the premiere of her upcoming film What Happens in Vegas. Co- star Ashton Kutcher was in attendance and had this to share about Cameron’s absence:

Sadly she will not be joining us for the premiere as she has just lost her father and is under medical attention for stress at this moment. But she will be better soon.”

While I am sure that Ashton, joined by his wife Demi Moore, only had the best intentions at heart when revealing Cameron’s whereabouts, he may have said more than the actress would have preferred. Ashton also added:

I will tell her of your get well soon wishes and your condolences of her father’s passing on.”

The funeral for her father was this past Saturday. Surely the actress needs some time to grieve. Our best wishes go out to her.
