Carrie Underwood graces the cover of the May issue of InStyle Magazine. The Season Four American Idol winner shed some light on dating and body image in an interview that will appear on newsstands Friday, April 25th.

Underwood has had some dating problems, including one boyfriend who cheated on her. She won’t identify the bad boy but does say that life is too short and she is too busy to play games. Guys in her life get but one chance to get it right. If they mess up, they’re history.

How does she cope with a breakup? She hits the ice cream hard and heavy. That brings up another of her issues. She is fanatic about tracking her calorie intake in a food diary. She is mindful that 5 pounds is quickly noticed by her fans and she lives in fear of that happening. She says that some days she gives her body a long appraisal after getting out of the shower and finds the experience painful.

She would never consider going out in public without makeup. When pressed about what she does like about her body, she admitted that she loves her teeth. She is grateful to her dentist and hopes that he realizes what a wonderful thing he did for her.
