Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are NOT Expecting Twins
After referring to his unborn baby as “them” on a Phoenix, Arizona radio show yesterday morning, Pete Wentz sent celebrity gossip bloggers into a tailspin as headlines that he and wife Ashlee Simpson were expecting twins flooded the internet.
The rocker quickly contacted the queen of gossip, Perez Hilton, to set the record straight, saying “That was way wrong. I meant to say ‘the baby’ and said ‘them’ cos it was 7am. I can tell you we are absolutely not having twins. I totally mispoke ‘cos we dunno if it’s a boy or girl. I try to speak vaguely and I totally blew it on this one.”
Leaving a medical building later in the day, Ashlee and Pete remarked that everything was fine with the pregnancy.

Well that will be a nice change, just having one baby at one time. Lately all the celebrities seem to miraculously be having fraternal twins, one of each sex of course. Cuts down on the number of pregnances and the number of times you have to gain and lose weight (i.e. JLO). But then I don’t think Ashlee’s pregnancy was planned. Why are we reading and leaving comments about her anyway? She’s really a nobody, just happens to be related to Jessica Simpson and she also makes appearances at Walmart to small (very small) crowds to promote her CD. Big deal.
