I have been wearing nail polish on my toes now for a few months and I love doing it, I use both dark and bright colors I really like the colors that the Opi Nicole line has out. I have not worn them out openly yet but I think I will start to do so soon cause I have no regrets in painting my nails I think this is one trend thats here to stay.

I have been wearing polish on my toes for at least 10 years (off and on), and for about four years openly. My wife encouraged me to 'just do it' because she liked how it looked on me and knew that I was frustrated about having to hide it whenever we were out.

I still remember the day I 'came out' with it. She and I decided to stop in for a pedicure together when were were on vacation. I was eyeing the colors of polish they had and the nail tech girl asked me if I saw anything that I liked. I said that I did like this one deeper maroon color they had and so she said that she would he happy to paint my toes with it if I wanted. I looked at my wife for her approval and she told me "just do it!".
The gal did a great job and my feet looked so cool with a professional polish application, I just could not keep from looking at them. I only wore sandals the next three days and proudly showed off my 'new' look.

Since that day, it has not been an issue for me to wear them polished anymore. My wife even encourages me by bsurprising me with a new color that she thinks will look good on me every now and then.

I can only tell you guys who have an interest in trying nail polish but never had the guts to try it - you are missing out! Don't wait any longer - just do it, man. You will never regret it!

My wife painted mine one night just for fun in the summer of 1997. Now, 12 years later, we both get pedicures together and have been for years. I wear flip-flops or sandals when it's not too cold. I mainly wear black, dark blue or a dark purple. However, my salon tech lately has been getting creative and putting a small silver strip at the tip like a french manicure. This looks really cool with the black and I have had more people, men and women, tell me how good it looks, then I can write about.

A few years ago, my wife accidentally dropped a cast iron skillet on two of my toes and they turned an odd color a few days later. To make it up to me, she offered to paint them over with a neutral beige polish she had. It looked odd to have just two nails painted, so she did them all. I wore the polish until the color in my nails grew out, but by then I was so used to it, I just kept weating them polished.
I have tried a few other colors and like some of them. My wife likes the way my toes look when polished (she says they look clean and neat), so she continues to paint them for me every 2-3 weeks when they need it.
Many people have told me that they think my toenails look so good painted and wonder why more men don't do this.
I guess i had never even considered it something that men could not do. I do it.

I have been wearing my teos painted for years and years. just recently I am wearing it out in public and have had all positive comments.

In this day and age, anything goes so if you are thinking about trying it, just do it, what 's the worst that can happen, someone gvie you a funny look. I bet 99 percent of comments would be positive.

I don't typically like men's feet because they are not very well taken care of. If they were thoughtful enough to get a pedicure and clean them up before wearing sandals, that would be a BIG improvement in my mind.

If a guy were to wear a color of nail polish on his toes that was not too bright or feminine looking, I would like that. There is no reason why we should corner the market here. We all know it looks good, why not a guy wearing a 'manly' color?

My BF just did this two days ago, and I LOVE it! He said he wanted to try it because he thought it might look 'cool'. He had them painted a silver-gray and it just looks great on him!

I am a guy & have been wearing my nail polish onmy toenails since I was a teen-ager. I always hid it because I was frightened of what other people would say. When I got married I stopped doing it for about a year & then I told my wife that I enjoyed this & if it was okay by her, to my surprise she was & still is very supportive. I have been keeping my toenails well-maintained & polished continuously since 2000. At times I have gone out in public wearing sandals or flip-flops & yes, occasionally people laugh or make rude comments & that is a shame. Grooming or enhancing one's appearance does not dictate one's sexual preference. I am a heterosexual, but so what if I wasn't? Wearing nail polish does not have one thing to do that.

I probably would have thought that a guy wearing his toes with nail polish on them would be pretty weird - if I had not seen it myself.
My finance came home from a business trip a few months ago with his toenails painted a deep metallic gray. He said that there was a manicure and pedicure special for men advertised at a nail salon and so he and a few others decided to try it. They did not get any polish on their fingernails, but opted for trying it on their feet after the nail tech suggested it.
I have to say that it did look pretty cool on him and really did not look out of place at all. He has since tried this a couple more times (with black and dark blue) and so far, I like the metallic grey the best (blue is a close second though).
So, not something I would have predicted I'd like, but it worked out for him. And his toes look really good polished!

I am part-owner in a nail salon located in the upper Midwest. My partner and I recently decided to attract male clientele because we see it as a very important part of our growing business. Men can certainly benefit from well cared-for nails, it helps improve their image and level of professionalism.
And yes, men can and do wear nail polish. Clear is more common on men's fingers, but we have had requests for pretty much any color by men on their feet. I don't know whether they wear is openly or just privately, but it is no longer a surprise or 'odd' that a man will have their toenails polished with color, usually a darker color in our experience.
For those who do not care for this, I would only say that the trend for men to remain the unkempt and grungy of the sexes is changing in small increments. Polished toes and sandals for men is becoming more common.
