Bristol Palin Pregnant: Sarah Palin Issues Statement
On the heels of rumors that Sarah Palin faked her fifth pregnancy to cover up her teen daughter’s pregnancy, the Alaska Governor has issued a statement saying her 17-year-old daughter Bristol Palin is pregnant.
Rumors had been circulating for months that Sarah’s Down Syndrome infant Trig was actually Bristol’s baby. That rumor was quickly debunked, however Palin has now come forward with news that Bristol is five months pregnant, and the high school senior has made the decision to keep the baby and marry the father.
”We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us,” the Palins’ statement said.
“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support,” the Palins said.
”Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media, respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates,” the statement concluded.
McCain campaign officials say McCain knew of Bristol’s pregnancy when he selected Palin as his running mate.

I so do not trust this woman. Shell games with babies. She’s worse than John Edwards because he didn’t want to oppress women and strip them of their reproductive freedom and choice. I don’t believe anything she says.
I’d like to see a paternity test done on the Downs kid, full investigation of her, full vetting. There are too many strange things that do not add up, her flying about with her amniotic fluid leaking, rushing off to the small hospital in he town she used to run instead of one with more resources in Anchorage where she landed, not showing at all at seven months, and on.
This is important because she and the right wingers have sought to sanctify and politicize her ‘choice’ (funny choice of word considering she is ‘anti-choice’) to use as a cynically ruthless tool to push for the oppression of women and young girls.
This woman is shady as hell; a ruthless ideologue who wants to strip girls and women of their reproductive rights. She is against birth control. She is against condoms. I guess she is for STD’s, physical and mental trauma, abuse, suicides, botched abortions and the blunting of financial and other personal goals. And she is against equal pay for women too. I always say, women’s worst enemies are often other women. She is exhibit A.
She wants creationism taught in the schools. While you’re at is, teach that the earth is flat, and go back to the Copernican view of the universe, that the sun and planets revolve around the earth, and see what kind of future scientists America turns out.
By turning females into virtual non-citizens who have no control over their destinies and can be locked into government forced pregnancies at any point, for any reason, with no control and no choice – why even bother sending them to school? It would be like Roman society where only men could be citizens. She is like the American version of the Taliban. She would turn American women and girls into the equivalent of feedlot cows.
Nice, McCain. What kind of soldier uses a pregnant 17-year-old girl as a political shield? You knew what this was going to do, how it would divert attention away from your policies. You are throwing her under the bus.
How nice that Gov. Palin knew about her daughter’s pregnancy and decided to accept VP nomination. “Hey, Bristol, you think having a baby at 16 will be hard. How about I turn the entire country’s ire on you?” What mother would do that to her daughter. You gotta question Palin’s judgment. That is just mean to parade her daughter through the mud for her own opportunity.
Gosh, this is the sorriest defense I have ever seen. Lays the rumors to rest? Hardly! Come on folks, you can do better than that. Check out these accusations:
I’m up here in Alaska and the headlines on our newspaper over the weekend is “Alaskans raise eyebrows at McCain’s pick”. Alaskans don’t know or trust Palin. Her sole qualification for being elected governor was that she was NOT Frank Murkowski, who everyone was pissed off at because he appointed his daughter Lisa to the Senate in an unbelieveable nepotism stint. Rumors have been circulating about Bristol being the real mom for months. Alaskans let it go – since our state is so Republican we’re bordering Libertarians. Just because Bristol is supposedly pregnant NOW, how does that debunk the rumor that she gave birth almost 5 months ago? She could be pregnant AGAIN. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s just as crazy to think that if McCain dies that this small-town Moose hunting Wasilla beauty queen will be the Commander-In-Chief. Crazy. Everyone in Alaksa knows someone who knows Sarah, and I’ve heard from many that she’s a self-righteous control freak. God help us if McCain/Palin wins. God help us.
I just want to say that we should not judge Sarah Palin for what Bristol did. Yeah she a pregnant teen but we all make mistakes. But at least she is doing the right thing. She keeping the baby and getting married to the father of her child. That more than what a lot of people are doing these days. People need to learn not to judge others people. We need to start looking at our own mistakes.
I don’t think people are judging Sarah Palin for Bristol getting pregnant, well, I don’t think democrats are, anyway. Teens get pregnant, it happens. The problem is that Sarah has no experience to lead the country and that she is lying about Bristol’s first baby. She’s nutty, and it’s scary to think that she may be making decisions about what’s best for our country when she isn’t truthful at home.
Subject: Sarah Palin
I’ve been trying to think a pure running mate. Someone who has never erred. A person who’s flawless. A person who’s compassion will serve others with no thought of himself/herself. One person comes to mind. But, lets face, does it really matter who the VP is? The person would be torn to shreds and spat out. Now, isn’t that the American way? Don’t we just love to bring people down and jump on their pain and bring it to the forefront and come-up with different scenarios to make us feel better or give us something else to bitch about. I am so sick of this crap!! Kudo’s to McCain for throwing a wrench into the mix. All I know about Alaska is that it’s anybody’s game and if that’s the fools way out, well so be it. Any secrets in your family closet? I know there’s a few in mine. We are human. Have a nice evening.
I guess I am bitter and bound. Thanks for listening
Did I see pic on Fox News18 Sep 08 Palin and Husband waving from airplane. Was he wearing earring in left ear.
Everyone just chill. Sarah should not be judged by the mistake of Bristol. Bristol should not even have to be brought into the media. We are voting for the things Palin and McCain can do, Palin’s family should have nothing to do with the economy. Therefore, Bristol’s choices should be left to her. and the United States should not have to comment on it.
