Charlie Ebersol is Maria Sharapova’s Boyfriend (Photos)
Maria Sharapova is a Sony Ericsson WTA Tour player, currently ranked 6th. The tennis phenom was born in the Soviet Union and resides in Bradenton, Florida. She is dating Charlie Ebersol, son of NBC Sports chairman Dick Ebersol and Hollywood actress Susan Saint James.
The budding romance between the 21 year old Sharapova and 25 year old Ebersol has reportedly pleased his famous parents. The Ebersol family suffered great tragedy in 2004 when Charlie and his father were in a plane crash. Charlie’s younger brother Teddy, 14, died at the scene in Montrose County, Colorado. The Teddy Ebersol Red Sox Fields at Lederman Park in Boston was built in memoriam to the young man.
Sharapova has won three Grand Slam singles titles including the 2008 Australian Open. She is coached by her father Yuri Sharapov and former player Michael Joyce.

At the risk of sounding cynical as hell, do you honestly believe that Charlie boy would have met Maria if it had not been for the influence of his rich Daddy Warbucks the NBCSports Chairman/ King? Highly unlikely. For Charlie’s sake, I hope some smooth talking rogue who doesn’t give a damn about Charlie and his Rich Old Man does not come along and steal Maria from him.
Marcus I believe you have no idea how a woman’s mind works. Charlie is the perfect kind of man for her. She’s very accomplished and he’s a rising star in a totally different industry. The fact that he has a famous father helps her tremendously in the fact she doesn’t have to worry about him getting jealous of her fame. He has his own identity but it’s totally different from hers. Yes he met her because of his family. But in a bubble life like hers, it makes sense meeting a man like him. I hate to say this to men who might be very disappointed. But if they are compatible and they don’t hit any big relationship roadblocks, this one may go the distance.
