Britney Spears and Jive Records have released a photo of the pop stars new Circus album cover. Studio album number 6 is set to drop on December 2, 2008. No coincidence, it will launch on Brit’s 27th birthday.

Spears will appear on Good Morning America and perform her single Womanizer in Bryant Park, according to Robin Roberts. Her single was released on October 7, 2008. No date has been announced for the release of her Circus single.

Britney will begin a world tour in Spring 2009, with rehearsals to begin in January. An MTV 90 minute documentary entitled For the Record, showcasing her return to the pop music spotlight, will air on November 30, 2008.

The Today Show on NBC got into the Halloween spirit on their morning talk show and once again this year, it was a great showing by all of the on air celebrities.

Matt Lauer was a handsome Humpty Dumpty and his co-host Meredith Vieira made a great wooden boy aka Pinocchio. Ann Curry was Cinderella and Al Roker did the Gingerbread Man proud.

Other notables were Kathie Lee Gifford as The Big Bad Wolf, Hoda Kotb as Little Red Riding Hood and Amy Robac as Rapunzel. Even Natalie Morales, currently off on maternity leave, appeared in costume with her young son and the new babe in her arms.

Tiffany Shepherd made national headlines earlier this year when she was fired from her teaching position in the St. Lucie County School District in Florida for engaging in a part time pursuit that involved fishing charter excursions and bikinis. That was in April and she is still unable to get another teaching position.

The Science teacher was reported to school officials, likely by a disgruntled co-worker, for her weekend job as a bikini mate with a charter fishing boat operation. Shepherd, a single mother of three young children, took on the part time job to help make ends meet and get a little sunshine as part of the bargain.

She appeared on The Tyra Banks Show earlier this week and received a good deal of sympathy from the supermodel. Tyra Banks questioned her about why the school district thought it was so bad to wear a bikini. Shepherd acknowledged that there were allegations of her photos appearing on porn websites. She denies that she was involved in those activities.

Early on it was reported that she was considering a lawsuit against St. Lucie County School District. It is unclear whether she still plans to move forward.

Tara Reid Talks About Her Battle Wounds

The media has had more than one field day with ‘hot mess’ Tara Reid. Now the actress is talking to People magazine and says she is sick of all the criticism.

In 2004 Reid underwent liposuction surgery on her stomach and it left her with horrible scarring. Then in 2006 she went in for reconstructive surgery but in the end was left with what she calls “battle wounds”, including the dreaded uneven abs.

Here we go again. Pictures have surfaced of Tara on the beach sporting a bikini, which has renewed the jab assault from those who enjoy getting in their digs. She said, “I’ve been a media target for years now, it does hurt my feelings, but what can I do? I have to move on.”

She’s been keeping herself busy with some independent film work and designing her own clothing line Mantra, which she says reflects her moods through casual wear, bikinis and t-shirts. She wants her fashion offering to be all about feeling good about yourself. Hopefully Reid will fare better than celeb Heidi Montag, who was recently dropped by Anchor Blue.
