Danity Kane Break Up Rumors Flying (Photos)
Danity Kane, the R & B girl group, got its start in 2005 when they were signed by Bad Boy Records. MTV’s Making the Band reality television series was the catalyst for Aubrey O’Day, Wanita Woodgette, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres.
Ever since the creation of the group, Danity Kane has been plagued by rumors of the group’s breakup. The reality show frequently showcases issues among the band members, which seem to further fuel rumors. Sean Combs regularly fights with O’Day over her poor dance performance. She also appeared on Broadway in Hairspray, which further heightened rumors that she plans to go her seperate way.
Dawn Richard has also been rumored to be poised to launch her own solo career. She reportedly flew from Baltimore to New York for private meetings with Combs. He actually went so far as to introduce Richard in a solo performance in early September.
Not so fast says an Atlantic Records spokesperson. “At no point was Dawn flown anywhere to record solo or meet with Diddy alone. The girls are still very much together. They’re going out to the Video Music Awards together….and they’re promoting their album Welcome to the Dollhouse and working on their third.”
Richard is working on her own comic book based on the character she created which carries the group’s name.

Danity Kane is one of the FEW Artists that (a) can really sing without the aid of “technology” and (b) can do “a” individually….or in a group.
They are TALENTED singers and it is my hope that they are given the support/opportunity to further their careers without unwarranted drama.
Life is TOO short so enjoy it…now…before it’s over.

i hope they stay together as well other wise i feel i won’t be able to support them the same i love them so much and i know they can work it out the group needs all five of its members

I hate to see the girl break up . Diddy you say your about money. Then do the man thing get the girl together and let them put it out on the table and once the shit is over, then let it be over. Let, them know where you stand as a manager with out the fear that if they have an opinion that they would or will be kick out. I like them. They, make you money.

I say good riddance. 5 nobody’s w/talent that had the chance of a lifetime….and still can’t hold it together..kick them 2 the curb for real. get d woods back though, she could sang. aubrey looks just like all of the othe barbie clones out there, just not w/as much talent. she is easily replaceable, and won’t b missed. she needs 2 shut the hrll up, swallow the pride; learn her part and play her role. u see what happened 2 the ex members of destiny’s child right…..nuff said.

i think they should not break up because they look great together as a group and and they sing really good but even though they had break up i am still a fan of danity kane and I LOVE THIM ALOT
The finale of MTB4 was horrible! Everything went by so quickly and we didn’t really learn anything new about the situation. We don’t even know if there is going to be another season of making the band 4. Everything just seems to have ended so suddenly and there are so many unanswered questions. All we know is that Diddy actually kicked out Aubrey and D. Woods. I expected to feel some sort of closure and thought that the finale would involve the group getting back together. However, all we got was Diddy being a complete idiot and a feeling of confusion and hopelessness. But I refuse to believe that this is the reality. I don’t understand how everything collasped. Throughout last season and this entire season, the ladies seemed to be united. Even if you watch all of the Backstage Pass short clips, you would think they were the best of friends. That’s what makes this so shocking. I did not see this coming and I believe that this a HUGE mistake on Diddy’s part. He told the DK ladies that he did not want to look like the bad guy on tv. But Diddy IS the bad guy. He put together a fantastic group! Danity Kane went through hell with him, put together two very successful albums, went on an incredibly successful tour and are rewarded with two of it’s members being kicked out? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Even if there are several problems with the group, I am very sure that they are able to work them out. There is no need to disappoint thousands of fans by breaking up the group. Like Shannon said, families work out their problems. It did not have to go to that extent. Diddy didn’t even have a reason for getting rid of D. Woods. He says now that he doesn’t mind working with her. So he makes such crucial decisions based on how he is feeling at the moment? And I believe that Aubrey is beautiful! She DID NOT disrespect Diddy at all! She spoke her mind, which was what Diddy asked her to do. Diddy, however, believes that he is the King of the world and does not like it when others speak their mind. He is rude and very unprofessional. He keeps telling Aubrey to humble herself, but he is the one that needs to humble himself! He keeps saying that no one can talk to him in that way because he has “15 years in the game”. I knew he was this way but I did not believe that he would go as far as breaking up the hottest girl group around. I am officially done with Diddy. If he expects to make any money after the decision he has made, he is fooling himself. And without ALL original 5 members, Danity Kane will NEVER be the same. I just hope that things will turn around and that the group will come back together again. Thousands of fans are counting on it. I love Danity Kane!
