Australian Idol Contestant Levi Kereama Dies in Fall From Hotel Balcony
Former Australian Idol contestant Levi Kereama plunged to his death from a hotel balcony following a performance in Brisbane, Australia Saturday night.
The 27-year-old, who was thought to be suffering from depression, played with his brothers in the R&B group Lethbridge at the Parklife Festival in Brisbane just hours before his death.
Kereama rose to fame as a wild card contestant on Australian Idol in 2003. He became known as the sweet-faced contestant with the unique singing voice, and gained popularity with the show’s female fans.
Placing sixth in the competition, Kereama’s career took off with family band Lethbridge, where he performed alongside brothers Jules, Ezra and Lane Kereama.
Although police are treating his death as a suicide, Kereama’s family has rejected reports that he was suffering from depression and believe his fall was a tragic accident.

i am a big fan of LEVI i got the bigget shock of my life when i found out that levi was dead my heart would nt stop racing i felt really sick inside. he was a really talented singer and and he was just the man and may he rest in peace and may he always be in our hearts and never forgotten

i remember meeting you levi jus down the road from sphs when i was with renee..
all i remember was seeing them bring bright eyes and huge smile that any one could fall in love with when u said ”HEY!” lol,when i found out u had left us i was heart broken..
i guess tha lord needed another angel..
we will always miss you buddy ..
