Peter Cook is Not A Pervert or So He Says…
A few month’s back Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook played out their messy divorce battle in front of the world. The model left her husband because he had an affair with his 18 year old assistant. Now Cook is looking to clear up our misconceptions about his tarnished image and clue us in on why this happened.
Peter sat down with Barbara Walters to set the record straight and the interview will air this Friday on ABC’s 20/20. Peter, who readily admitted to the affair, said that there was a lot of “misinformation in the courtroom.”
Giving Barbara a little insight into his married life with Christie, he said:
“I wanted a little acknowledgment, a little attention, a little thank you every now and then for my efforts, for the amount of time it took to care for her and my family, for the wealth I was building. Just the tremendous amount of work I was putting into my family….my world became her world. It had to be that way.”
Is he kidding with a statement like that? He wanted to be showered with thank you’s - and so does every other married person in America. That constant feedback just doesn’t happen in the average marriage - at least not with the kind of regularity that he seems to have been craving. It is more likely that this guy needed to be the center of the universe and picked the teenager to puff up his ego.
Brinkley’s attorney said he may face legal action for speaking out about the divorce and breaking the confidentiality agreement.

Sounds like the guy wanted “a little” feedback “every once in a while,” not the “constant feedback” you attribute to him. And if even this is too much for a husband or wife to give their spouse, it’s no wonder why so many marriages fail, and so many more are full of resentment and misery.
‘Me thinks the lady doth protest too much….’
Poor wittle narcissist, blaming the wife he cuckolded so sleezily with a teenaged assistant. It is all about him, and he is the wounded party. He is mourning for his lost image, and so he goes on TV and opens a vein. No sense of honor or remorse. Broke marriage contract and divorce confidentiality agreement feeling totally entitled and that the rules don’t apply to him. He is clearly a sociopath.
Also, what was he talking about? He was living on her earned fortune and her connections. She had to pay him, not the other way around. He’s not missing the kids; he’s missing the money and the golden ‘image’ he enjoyed that his own actions destroyed!
He’s also missing her boat that he liked so much.
They had a real estate company together called something like ‘Whocanyoutrust’. Who indeed? Certainly not a ruthless and predatory narcissist and sociopath. It’s just classic that he has no sense of right or wrong, takes no responsibility for his actions, and tries to blame the person he betrayed and injured. He gives me the creeps. What a joke for going on TV and bleating like that. We used to think he was an epic baboon… Now we know.
I just wish somebody really knew what they were talking about. NONE OF YOU out there on the Christie/Peter blogs have ANY idea about what you are talking about. You all have it so wrong, wrong, wrong. Obviously because you believe everything you read. You all seem (at least most of you) to be very small minded people. Sad.
