Listen guys, I know Ashley said she made it up, but she also said she doesn’t remember scratching her face or BLACKening her eye. Isn’t it possible that those same lawyers taht Lezident mentions also maybe threatened her into saying she can’t remember, even though obviously she was in a bad area like she said on Twitter and somebody really did carve her face with a B. I think their making her say those things but really her assaulter is still out there. I don’t think I’ll feel safe until I vote for McCain/Palin so that things can start getting back to normal!

No, I don’t feel like an idiot for feeling shock and compassion for an injured young woman as a gut reaction rather than callous cynicism. So many times people scapegoat an already traumatized victim by not believing them. It’s easier that way. Check out the movie ‘Changeling’ to see an example of this.

I am very shocked and saddened however to learn how the story developed and that this young woman lied the way she did. It is very disturbing. This is a very ugly election.

How long is it going to take for you to update this WAY OUT OF DATE smear piece and demote the responses immediately after it that smear the Obama campaign with absolutely no evidence to back up what they say? Gotta read pretty far down this page to get to the truth – that Ashly Todd admitted she faked the whole thing. It’s the McCain campaign that’s been stirring up unstable people like Ashly with their groundless “palling around with terrorists” and “socialist” accusations. How do you expect unstable people to respond with their fears stoked like that? You’ve all heard the crowds yell “terrorist” and “kill him” during McCain and Palin campaign rallies. What’s next?
