DWTS Julianne Hough Still Laid Up After Surgery
Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Julianne Hough may be laid up a little longer than she had planned. The dancer underwent surgery to have her appendix removed last week.
Derek Hough, also a pro dancer on DWTS, talked about his sister’s surgery and said, “She was in a lot of pain for a couple of days afterward.” He added that his sis is a fighter and that she would get through it.
The protective brother said that he is going to make Julianne stay in bed. Hmm, do you think he is in direct competition with her and knows that her return may be the demise of his chances of winning with partner Brooke Burke? Derek and Brooke scored a perfect 30 on last week’s competition. We’ll give Derek the benefit of the doubt but it is always fun to pit family members against each other in a competition.

Yeah — Derek’s going to make her stay in bed until she has to go to Nashville and do her country music gig. Just seems awful convenient to me that once again some music appearance comes up and Julianne finds a way to get out of her dancing obligation just like last season. Coincidence or not? All I know is that if she is well enough to do this CMA thing then she really needs to get into the studio and help out her dance partner even if she is not able to dance. She could help with choreography and give some moral support to Cody who absolutely looked after her for their final show. But the real question is not when will Julianne come back, its WILL Julianne come back. I think she hopes Cody gets eliminated so that she can stay off and do her music thing. How sad and very unprofessional.
I thought Julianne Hough had endometriosis? is the appendix issue something separate?
The NON innocent mormon girl had an abortion………….please…….first it is her appendix then it is endymetriosis………whatever………….stick to the one thing you are good at dearie…dancing………and if you uncross your legs dont lie about it.
Wow emmy – that’s quite a comment. However as sad as it may seem, I can’t say that the same thought hasn’t crossed my mind. I never thought I would say that about Julianne but when she had the stomach pains, my first thought was that she was pregnant. Julianne is definitely not the same innocent “role model” that she said she wanted to be in April CosmoGirl. And being involved with a man 10 years older makes me think that they are doing a lot more than hand holding. Julianne has backtracked on so many of her statements that I’m not really sure who she is right now and I bet that she doesn’t even know who she is anymore. Julianne has definitely lost herself trying to be this big country singer and it is sad to watch her self-destruct.
What must Julianne’s parents think about all of this? Is the publicity really worth it to have your 20-year old Mormon daughter being thought to have been pregnant? The whole thing disgusts me and Julianne hasn’t just fallen from grace, she has taken a huge nose dive!!
I almost died of a burst appendix 2 years ago and still have problems. Abdominal surgery is not so easy to get over and if there are complications they are major. Former NY Gov. Pataki had a very hard time and spent some 2 weeks in hospital like I did with a similar rare combination of problems.
Do not be surprised if she is quiet for 6 months or so recovering her digestive balance. My sister got hers removed before it burst but still had a good six months of recovery to normal.
I hope Julianne is well and has no further problems.
I agree with Mrs Hohman about the fact that abdominal surgery is not easy since I have also had some.
However I don’t consider Julianne being “quiet” when she is ignoring her dancing partner in order to fly off to Nashville to do something to promote HERSELF. That isn’t “resting” and being “quiet” to me – that’s being selfish and insensitive and totally unprofessional to the show that made her a name and gave her all of these opportunities.
Once again Julianne has found an “excuse” to be off the show just in time to do some country music thing. What a coincidence – NOT!
I hope that she does stay in bed. It is not worth hurting yourself for life for one competition. AND since she is so young and so talented she should not risk it. Everyone should read the great post on DWTS Livejournal page about the curst of Season 7. Worth the read!!!
