Barack Obama is Looking for a Mutt Like Him
Hey, hey, hey – these were his words not ours. Our future President Barack Obama announced at his press conference that he and his family are planning to adopt a dog who will reside with the new First Family when they transition to the White House.
He said, “a lot of shelter dogs are mutts like me.” The media has really warmed to the idea and Obama believes that the not yet chosen dog is trumping all else on the worldwide web.
Obama explained to reporters that their search criteria has been limited by their oldest daughter’s allergic reaction to common pets, so they will need to find a hypoallergenic breed. This may hamper their desire to adopt a pound pet.
A puppy isn’t the only thing that future first lady Michelle Obama is researching. She is currently scouting out schools in Washington D.C. for Malia, 10 and Sasha, 7 to attend.
Hopefully whatever breed they find will be media friendly. Last week current First Dog Barney bit a reporter and ended up in the dog house. Check out the video here.
