The person she was talking to was Juanita Vanoy, soon to be Mrs. Michael Jordan. The third member of the group was awoman whose name I can't remember that was trying to get married to Gary Matthews, the Cubs baseball player. The three were admiring the beautiful silver compact Desiree was using as it was a present from John Rogers. The three of them went on and on about the devious ploys they concocted to keep the guys interested without sounding like golddiggers. Pretty sad, but I heard it with my own ears.
