This is no joke folks, you read the title right.  Actress Fran Drescher is looking to take over the seat of Senator Hillary Clinton.  Her publicist has confirmed this info and released the following statement.

“Drescher’s experience as an actress, women’s health advocate and public diplomacy envoy for the U.S. State Department qualified her for consideration.”

Drescher, who actively supported Clinton during the campaign, has also been considering a run for Congress in 2010.  She would be going up against Republican U.S. House Representative Peter King.
