‘Yes Man’ Takes Top Honors at the Box Office, $18M (Trailer)
Jim Carrey beat out Will Smith for top honors at the box office this weekend. Yes Man came in first at $18 million in ticket sales. Seven Pounds was second with $16 million. The Matthew Broderick animated family movie The Tale of Despereaux was third with $10.5 million.
Yes Man, by Warner Bros., stars Carrey as a loser who turns his life around by saying yes to everything. Seven Pounds has Smith playing a mysterious IRS agent doing good deeds for strangers. The Tale of Despereaux features a heroic mouse with very big ears.
