Kellie Pickler, 22 year old country western singer who first hit the scene on the reality show American Idol, has just returned from her second holiday USO Tour and is deeply gratified by the warm welcome she received.

The singer entertained 20,000 military personnel in nine shows over a 5 day period.  This years journey made stops in Germany, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo and England.  Other participants included singers Kid Rock and Zac Brown and stand-up comics Lewis Black and Kathleen Madigan.

Pickler was still suffering jet lag but also was filled with admiration for those she came in contact with over the course of the trip.  She said, “Thank you, thank you, thank you to the men and women serving our country.  I will never take what you do for granted.”

Well said and well done Kellie!
