Laura Zuniga Miss Sinaloa 2008 Arrested (Photos)
Laura Elena Zuniga Huizar is a Mexican model and was crowned Miss Sinaloa Hispanic America 2008 and was slated to compete for the title of Miss Mexico International 2009. She may be otherwise disposed because she was arrested on Monday along with seven known members of the Juarez Cartel.
Zuniga’s boyfriend, Angel Orlando Garcia Urquiza is the top operator for Carrillo Fuentes smuggling organization based in Ciudad Juarez, which borders El Paso.
Police received a tip and stopped two trucks that were cruising a Guadalajara suburb. They arrested seven men and Miss Sinaloa 2008 and seized a large array of assault rifles and handguns. They also confiscated $53,000 in cash.
The 23 year old Mexico beauty told her father that she was heading to a Christmas party when she left with her boyfriend and his cohorts. She told police that she was kidnapped by her boyfriend and that she was totally unaware of his illegal activities. She said the group was heading to Columbia and Bolivia on a shopping trip. Most cocaine smuggling comes through these two locations.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Maybe not according to every country’s legal system but in the eyes of God and Jesus and no matter what everyone has the chance to prove their honor and to have forgiveness if not from a legal system – then from their heart and their faith. Accused of whatever it is she is thought to be involved with and then whatever the motive were to pursue her are probably never to be known. Only in this state of such corrupt civilization and over-zealous government world over can anyone really say that there is real justice or can anyone be guilty or not with certainty. The modern day governments and especially the USA are guilty enough of crimes both grand and slight, so pointing fingers and punishing people is really hardly just cause.
“Who is calling the kettle black anyway?” So when Miss Sinaloa gets to the pearly gates in heaven I am sure Jesus or whoever is there checking credentials will her a fair chance to prove her honor and integrity. Her character will probably be much easier to defend then former U.S. President George Bush, and almost every other World leader of late and past, or government agent or most of the law makers. In Mexico the police and judges are for sure the ones that need to check their personal baggage.
No one is perfect and I am sure that Miss Sinaloa has had her share of bad decisions, but the mud throwers surely have their hands dirty. Pretty lady or not – life wasted is not the case here. At the worst, a bump in the road and one that may not even an actual legal charge at that. Anyone so quick to place a label on her should keep opinion to themselves. Only God can really judge a person for being good or bad.
