Ben Stiller is likely having a slightly painful Christmas after the Tropic Thunder star landed in New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital earlier this week.

It seems the 42 year old actor fractured his wrist in a snowboarding accident on Tuesday and is now in a cast.   It apparently didn’t sideline him for long because he was photographed shopping at Barney’s later that afternoon.

His next movie is Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian which is slated to release on May 22, 2009.  He expects to be fully recovered in time to promote the film.
