Lady Antebellum musician Charles Kelley, 27 has announced that he is engagement to publicist Cassie McConnell, his 25 year old girlfriend of two years.  He proposed to her on Christmas morning.

Kelley is the younger brother of Josh Kelley who is married to actress Katherine Heigl, who celebrated their one year wedding anniversary on December 23, 2008.

Lady Antebellum’s celebrity status has been in high gear in 2008.  The group took Top New Duo or Group honors from the Academy of Country Music and won New Artist of the Year from the Country Music Association.  They are up for two Grammy’s; Best New Artist and Best Country Performance for their hit single Love Don’t Live Here.

The group will open for Keith Urban in 2009.
