Sarah Palin shoes sell on eBay for $2,025

Sarah Palin‘s niece just made a quick bundle of cash by selling a pair of size 7.5 red Naughty Monkey Double-Dare heels on eBay.  The first time seller became an eBay member on January 19th and saw her first auction end successfully on January 27, 2009.  She made a cool $2,025 plus $11.95 for shipping and handling.

The Palin relative did not provide her name but does share a recent photo taken with her aunt for the purpose of tying the auction to the governor of Alaska.  Other photos showed Palin at several events, wearing the shoes.  The photos were autographed and the pen that the governor used also goes to the winning bidder.  Palin’s niece has also offered the auction winner the option of having Palin sign the shoes.

The high heeled pumps were purchased by Palin for around $100 from Shoefly & Hudson in Juneau, Alaska.  The seller was quick to reiterate that they were not purchased by the RNC, lest anyone jump to the wrong conclusion.  Aunt Sarah reportedly gave the shoes to her niece and appears to have happily gone along with the eBay sale.

The auction starting price was $500.  The governor’s high heels garnered 14 bids from seven bidders.  The winner skillfully placed a single bid in the final seconds to beat out the previous leader by $25.  The winner has been an active eBay buyer and seller, with a total of 189 transactions.

Check out the other auction photos below.

They also learned that Sligar had changed the primary beneficiary on an insurance policy from her children to McClain.

Ed McMahon Super Bowl Commercial

It looks like Ed McMahon has figured out a way to try and get a grip on his financial woes.  The late Johnny Carson‘s sidekick has struck a deal with Cash4Gold and will be featured in their commercial which will be televised during Super Bowl XLIII.

The TV personality has admitted to People magazine that he has sold stuff around his home for cash.  This meshes nicely with Cash4Gold, which buys jewelery and other precious metal objects.

“I has a lot of old wedding bands.  Let’s say they had “mixed” memories associated with them.”

McMahon isn’t the only celeb that will appear in the commercial.  Expect to see MC Hammer in the commercial spot.  The ad was shot at McMahon’s Beverly Hills home.  He still faces possible foreclosure but Ed says that he and his wife Pam are optimistic about the future of the home and believe that whatever happens will be for the best.

Check out the commercial below.

Britney Spears

Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears, who is the conservator for his daughter and her business affairs, has gone back to court to obtain restraining orders against the singer’s former manager Sam Lutfi, her former paparazzi boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and the lawyer who previously tried to fight the conservatorship, Jon Eardley.

According to Los Angeles Superior Court papers, the three men are not able to come within 250 years of Britney, her property or family members.

Jamie, after reviewing his daughter’s cellphone records, discovered that Lutfi and Ghalib were contacting Britney via numerous cellphone calls and text messages.   Jamie believes that Britney was ‘innocently’ giving them information regarding her schedule.  They, in turn, were tipping off the paparazzi for financial gain.

Lutfi has apparently conveyed to Britney, through her hairdresser in late December, that he is close to breaking the conservatorship bond that has kept Britney under her father’s control.    The elder Spears, suspecting that Eardley and Lutfi are again working together in this regard, included the lawyer in his court request for retraining orders.
