John Travolta and son Jett Travolta share a tender moment
John Travolta and Kelly Preston have issued a statement on the death of their 16-year-old son Jett Travolta.
“We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences.
Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives. We have received many messages of condolences from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us hope for a brighter future.

Jett Travolta died during a family vacation in the Bahamas after suffering a seizure and hitting his head on a bathtub.
Jett suffered from frequent seizures, and despite rumors that he wasn’t treated due to John Travolta’s Scientology beliefs, he had taken anti-seizure medication, which was eventually stopped because it wasn’t working.
An autopsy is currently being performed, with the results expected in the next few hours.

My prayers are with you and your family.
John Travolta and his family are what I call good people. I have not said that about many Hollywood types, but they deserve it. As a parent, it is unfathomable for me to understand how to cope with the loss of a child, I hope they can, I know it must be beyond any pain imaginable unless you have gone through it. I wish the very best for them.

I looked at a picture of your son and I saw the two of you. He had beautiful features, the face of an angel. It’s very sad that god had to take him so soon. Life is a never ending road. Jett was so fortunate to have john and kelly as parents. He had a wonderful life and will continue the next step on his journey. Bless the family for this is a pain they will never forget.
John, I am praying for you Kelly and Ella. Jett was so beautiful. You and Kelly did a beaufiful job raising him. I work with children. I am a teacher and just want you to know that children just don’t happen to be “good” and beautiful children on their own. I read somewhere that you wanted (and Kelly) were thinking about having another child. We know another baby would never take the place of Jett.
