Actress Jenny McCarthy was hit hard by the details of John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s recent tragedy.  Jett Travolta passed away after having a seizure on January 2nd and for McCarthy that reality could have been hers as well.

A few years back Jenny’s son Evan also suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest.   The young child was said to be “clinically dead” for a few minutes but was brought back to life by paramedics.

“I too watched the paramedics do CPR on Evan, and I didn’t know if he was going to come back.  We did get him back and then he suffered another seizure last year, when we had to put Evan in a coma for four days, so he wouldn’t go into cardiac arrest.  So I live on that edge that they (Travolta and Preston) have lived with Jett for all those years.”

Jenny is very vocal in her fight to raise awareness for autism as well as her fight against childhood vaccinations.   She and her boyfriend Jim Carrey have used their celebrity status to bring these issues to the forefront.
