Mercedes Benz  IMG Fashion Week Fall 2009 festivities are underway in New York City.  One of the most popular events is The Heart’s Truth Red Dress Collection parade of celebrities.

This particular aspect of fashion week was started in 2001 to raise awareness of the risk of heart disease and stroke in women.  Many top designers contribute red dresses that are worn on the catwalk by Hollywood’s glam celebrities.

Gracing the runway for the 2009 event were Brittany Snow, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Amanda Bynes, Vivica A. Fox, Hilary Duff, Patricia Arquette, Kristi Yamaguchi, Susan Lucci, Nia Long, Nastia Liukin, Jane Kaczmarek, Natasha Henstridge and the always lovely Valerie Bertinelli.
