   Hope that whatever dispute the station and rhodes has, they can settle the same the soonest possible time… The listeners are waiting for her come back.. they shouldn’t make the waiting long… or if she is indeed fired, then they must say so.. so that there would be no rumors surrounding the issue..

   I contacted the Nova M buisiness office today to inquire about Randi Rhodes and was told that she was NO Longer Affiliated with Nova M Radio. I said to Mr. G. Y. of Nova M “That was too bad” And promptly canceled my founders club membership.

   I like Mike Malloy very much however I feel that Nova M was under pressure from Clear Channel to renegotiate Randi Rhodes contract to take over Randi’s sole control over her show content. We need to support progressive talk but we can not continue to allow the corporate media to control the content of progressive talk.

   We had better start supporting the progressives out there and stop corporations from controlling the truth!

   Randi Rhodes is the #1 progressive Talker in the country because no one owns her! Call your progressive radio stations and demand they have Randi Rhodes on their station.

   It appears that Nova M radio may have sold out or leased all their stations airtime to “On Second Thought” now operated by CEO Mike Newcomb. With this change in the operation of the stations, Randi may not have wanted to work under contract with the new CEO for one reason or another. I say this because she brings a very large group of loyal listeners to the station network and any new organizational changes in operations would certainly want to capture that group.

   My only hope is that we find Randi soon somewhere on the dial, she is missed and her voice is needed on the air.

   I miss Randi, where is she? I don’t agree with are all the time but she is my kind of rebel. I think Randi has enough talent, knowledge, smarts and contacts to start her own broadcasting company and to hell with the others who bend over for the big corporations like clear channel.

   Randi should start a campaign to raise money for her own broadcasting company – small donations like Obama or just like an IPO. Off course making sure that if and when such a corporation is formed the corporation will be true to the values of freedom, equality, just wages etc.

   I am willing to contribute and or buy shares in Randi’s IPO now!!!

   I hope this is what she is working on. Go get em tigress!!

    I have been trying to figure out what happened to Randi. Nowdays the radio stations don’t say anything, it is as if the host that is gone never existed. I guess she wasn’t malleable enough for them. Not too crazy about her replacement, Nancy Skinner. That’s interesting about Clear Channel putting pressure on them to modify their lineup. Great. Figures they would have a hand in this.

    I also am missing Randi big time. I used to look forward to 3 o’clock every day. And I keep hoping every day to have some news about her coming back. I was feeling a bit stranded too with nothing to listen to. But thankfully I have Jeff Farias. He’s in Arizona and was also on Nova M. He got fired along with Mr. Manzo and a few others. He’s not back on the radio yet but he’s doing a live internet show every day at 6 PM. He’s working out of a home studio, but he’s got great info, as always, and terrific guests. He’s the only one getting me through this period without Randi. Give him a listen. By the way, Mr. Manzo’s lawsuit against Nova M is online. Check it out. What a three ring circus those people were running at Nova M. Total freak show. I don’t blame Randi for leaving. She’ll turn up elsewhere and be just fine. You can find Mr. Manzo’s lawsuit here:

    Randi, if you can’t get back on radio or the TV, why not start your own “Internets” website/blog. I appreciate Thom Hartmann, but now he is the only real progressive intellectual on the radio. Mike Malloy is the shock jock we need to get our people off the dime, so to speak. And Rachel Maddow is now a TV goddess for MSNBC.

Make it a personal site, you can do it easily on a Mac Mini for $599, plus a monitor (shop and get one for about $150), mouse (maybe $50 for a good one), $99 per year for a Mobile Me subscription, and $15 per year for the domain registration. Less than $1000 for startup costs, you’d even have some cash left for a new coffee machine, coffee grinder, and a few pounds of french roast. You could even do daily podcasts instead of a radio show, just to keep your voice “out there”. I’m sure that once you get started, other progressives still on the air would be happy to promote the site for you … probably for nothing. Consider what Arianna Huffington was able to accomplish. I bet you could do better. If it worked for candidate Obama …
    This will give us the “Randi fix” we need until you and the others (Thom, Mike, Ed, Steph, and others) work out the details for a truly progressive network owned and run by yourselves, a sort of progressive consortium. Its the only way to make it work in this economic environment.
    Think about it … please. You are missed and needed badly.

    I don’t get to hear Mike Malloy’s dulcet tones anymore either unless I go to his website & listen to podcasts. Guh, so annoying. I really hope that Nova M/Air America/On Second Thought/whatever they’re calling themselves now work things out with all of their hosts.

    I also miss Stephanie Miller. My morning commute also sucks because I don’t get the pleasure of listening to her and the Mooks anymore.

    I live in New York, and have loved Randi since she started here on Air America in 2004. It broke my heart when she left in 2008. I got satellite radio just to hear Randi in my car; stupid me, I got Sirius, the wrong service to hear Randi! She was on X-M. I lobbied Sirius several times for Randi (they carry the awful Lynn Samuels) and was even planning to change to X-M, and now this!
    Randi Rhodes must not be silenced. I look every day for news on what has happened to her. She is a unique, deeply passionate talent. Her only equal on daytime radio is Thom Hartmann, who is wonderful, but lacks the biting wit. Ed Schultz is nowhere near as smart or prepared as Hartmann or Randi.
    We need Randi Rhodes. May she return very soon.

I wanted to know her take on Stephen King – R (badguy)’s assertion that Richard Armitage was responsible for the Valerie Plame leak investigation, not Scooter Libby. I SAW IT ON MY TEEVEE! What the heck is that? Libby was convicted by a grand jury. I heard him testify myself. The guy was convicted on 5 counts, Perjury, Obstruction of Justice. So what? Are we expected to think he was lying to protect Richard Armitage? Not his boss Dick (we have to work in the shadows) Cheney? Cause he sure was lying. Well, we need Randi, she was a real rabble rouser. What I like most about her is her anger. Because people should be angry when troops are out there on the front lines in a hail of bullets. We shouldn’t just sit around getting fat. We should care, and be angry when crooks are running this place. This country barely got off it’s butt to elect Obama.
