The 81st Annual Academy Awards were held last night at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles.  The nearly four hour presentation was hosted by Aussie Hugh Jackman, who proved to be multi-talented with his singing and dancing that brought the audience to a standing ovation at one point.

Top Oscar winners for 2009 were Sean Penn, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz, Heath Ledger.  Best Picture honors went to Slumdog Millionaire.  Accepting the award for Best Supporting actor were Sally Ledger Bell, Kim Ledger and Kate Ledger, who did so for the deceased actor’s young daughter Matilda Ledger.
