Clara Cannucciari: Great Depression Cooking Videos
Clara Cannucciari is a 93 year old great-grandmother and the daughter of Sicilian immigrant parents. She learned to cook back in the depression years when money was tight.
She has decided that her way of cooking is just what America needs, now that many have fallen on hard times. We’ve included some of her simple and economical meals below. Her cooking videos are suddenly very much in demand on the internet.
Check out a video of Clara’s ‘Poorman’s Meal’, ‘Pasta With Peas’, ‘Peppers & Eggs’ below.

She is SO adorable. These are good meal ideas. And if I dont get a job soon my husband and I will be having peas and pasta and poor mans meal every night
I HAD LEFT OVER PEAS PLUS AN ONION AND PUT SOME GARLIC AND HOT PEPPER INTO THE PAN. I ADDED LEFTOVER SPAGHETTI AND HAVE A SMALL PIECE OF MEAT TO COOK UP AND TOSS THE WHOLE THING TOGETHER. SO I SAT DOWN AND PUT ON THE COMPUTER AND LOOKED UP THE WEBSITE OF CLARA AND LO AND BEHOLD, SHE WAS MAKING PEAS AND MACARONI!!
