I think that rather than fans of her having genuine interest, celebrity gossip magazines and the like churn this crap out, and the people eat it up. Really, if the media just ignored her like they probably should, since she has since been unable to do anything to make herself worthy of more fame, the people who liked her on "The Girls Next Door" probably wouldn't deliberately seek out information about her. People aren't that obsessed. She starred in a reality show, then left.
