Rush Limbaugh Addresses CPAC

Rush Limbaugh gave the closing speech at the CPAC Conference in Washington D.C. on Saturday.  The conservative talk radio host reinforced his earlier criticism of President Barack Obama.  He insisted that he meant what he said and took those to task who were critical of his sentiments.

The overflow crowd watched from three individual ballrooms.  Speech videos 1-6 below.

  1. Comical…It would appear to me that assuring every individuals chance to succeed is protected is the greatest way to promote ‘general welfare’. Seeing as how the the colonies were sick of tyrannical attempts at rule of the 13 colonies by George III, they, our founders, wanted less control. The government needs less control now. We, the people, need our government to have less control.

    ‘General welfare’ does not mean the use of individuals well earned money being used in a government bailout for people who take on mortgages they cannot pay, or for their birth control, or for anything else the average American pays for. If consumers let a company fail, then don’t vest interest in them, or use consumer money to keep them afloat. Get a grip.
    Socializing this nation will do nothing but push the innovators to other areas and thus remove a huge chunk of our ever so expansion-happy governments source of revenue, doubling the government debt. I wish socialists would look at things through the eyes of workers, not the opposite.

    College means nothing, I’ve learned less throughout my college career (graduation in May, woopy doo) than I’ve learned through investing, experiencing, and reading. If a mans college degree made him smart, then degree holders from ‘prestigious’ schools would’ve known better than to have 90% of their holdings in the volatile US stock market.

    To whoever said something about the American image, let’s analyze that for a second. The US has a democrat congress leading up to Obamas election. The democrats in congress COULD HAVE stopped the recession in its tracks 2 years prior to the time if they listened to the warnings…but the US goes ahead and elects a member of the same party as congress to head the country…Who wants to spend $2-3 trillion dollars when unemployment only rises an additional 6% amidst this recession. With a GDP of $14.5 trillion, we know that those numbers do not, in any form, add up.
    So did Obama help our image? Hell no, kiddo.

    Rush speaks much truth. I laugh now at each of my friends, who now feel like idiots, for voting for this Obama idiot.

  2. I dont CARE what rest of the world thinks of my country. just like I dont care if the idiot with the Obama sticker in the lane beside me is employed or not. What i do care about is my way of life and my ability to enjoy the freedoms that both of my Grandfathers fought for being attacked bt people merely on the basis that they want what they didnt earn or plan for. Taking what is mine and giving to someone else without my consent–THEFT–whether it be my govt or a criminal with a gun. Speaking of guns; when”s the next Continental Congress? I’m ready for the 2nd American Revolution.

    There is nothing in the constitution about pursuit of individual wealth, however Ownership of real estate was a requirement to vote in the original constitution. Therefore I have no doubt that the founding fathers had no problem with the pursuit of individual wealth. They were worried about losers like you voting for politicians that would do it for them. Nice try Butt Boy.

  7. I am not a fan of Rush. I have always thought he was a very pompus.

    That being said, I admire most of the points he came up with in this speech! As a social worker, I DO agree that most of the time, the government does more hurt than help. There are a few occasions when I love my job because I feel like elderly people are being taken care of when there is no one else to help them. However, it breaks my heart, nine times out of ten to see people depending on the government when they are very capable of helping themselves. I see women lying about being married, or intentionally NOT getting married to recieve government assistance. There are people who purposely don’t get jobs because they believe they can make more money (which is not very much) on government assistance and unemployment. It hurts to watch smart men not better themselves and go to school or get a job because they think they don’t have to.

    I disagree with Rush in that I believe there is a compromise between the liberals and the conservatives. (It’s just, no one has come up with a good one yet.) But, I believe there is one out there that can help people who are truely down, yet at the same time, not push them down more. I will keep thinking of one every day at work and let him know when I come up with a great compromise! :-)

    I enjoyed most of your speech, Rush. Thanks for challenging us to think more!

  9. Sam – perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the Constitution, which by the way, Rush misquoted in his CPAC babblefest:

    Preamble-
    “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

    See anything that the founding fathers were endorsing the pursuit of individual wealth? Nope.
    How about estblishing justice and insuring domestic tranquility, promoting the general welfare? Yep.

    You may find a copy of Rush’s speech by looking up his a##, from where all of his thoughts originate.

    Rush is a high school graduate/college dropout who has no educated outlook on life, cannot stay married, and is a convicted drug addict and known frequenter of carribean prostitution.

    Only like-minded morons who can stand someone droning on for three hours, without any pro and con discussion, are constitutionally (pun intended) conditioned to listen to him.

    YOU and your Liberal (socialist) Ilk, are the ignorami and the embarrassment to all of us who hold the constitution and the philosophy of our Founding Fathers dear. If YOU like socialism so much, I suggest you move to France where you will be surrounded by like minded idiots. It is people like you, who are so overcome by your jealousy of those who have worked hard and reaped the benefits of same…that are tearing this Great country down, brick by brick; right by right; and “leveling the playing field” (Obama’s words) by making sure everyone is equally poor. It was the intention of our forefathers that everyone should have the same opportunities to become equally RICH. The Liberal mindset is so backwards, so jealousy driven…and so damned wrong. Rush is a great man, and a great defender of the constitution….he does NOT speak for all Republicans, but he DOES speak for all conservatives. You’d do well to spend a few weeks listening and learning…with an open mind…you might just learn more in those few weeks than you did in all your years in public school..if you didn’t drop out when you were 15 to have a baby and spend the rest of your life on welfare living off the sweat of those “rich, evil Americans” like me.

    Limbaugh is a fanatical idiot, and he’s lucky he’s American because the U.S. is the only country where stupid people like him can take up valuable media time.

    Limbaugh is an ignoramus, much like most of the Repugnants now. They recognize that they screwed your country up massively, and they’re going to pretend as much as possible that it wasn’t their fault. Good luck – everyone with a Grade 8 education and no NRA membership knows better.

    The only reason the American image has become better is because of Obama, so you’d better HOPE that he stays in power, or your country will once again be an embarrassment to the world.

    You were right on the money, however, I am waiting to see what can be done about a congress who is not wise enough or smart enough to recognize corruption, immorality or greed. Most of them fit into this category. Keep up the good work and let us know what we can do.

  15. Rush says what I’m thinking.. We are in serious trouble with Obama. Wow he’s spending money of our weath we hevn’t made yet , several years into the future.. What does that tell you… Tripple the national debt 1 month in office.. No solutions. Just throw money at it.. Programs that cost so much that they can’t be sustained… New future politicians who will be charged with fixing it will cut the programs… Political suacide… I’m sick to my stomach. I wish I were President.. I have a no nonsense approach. Stop all spending immediatly unless its an emergency. Cut programs , No pork on either side.. Transparency in economics, not in intelligence and defence… I remember this from my father If you want to take care and help others in thier time of need.. You have to take care of youself first. Because if you don’t you won’t be able to help those who will need you in thier time of need… Starvation in Africa, Sunami in Indonesia, Mudslides in south America. Huricanes In the USA Tornado, Wild fires, earthquakes, Volcano’s .. We wan’t to help but we wont be able to help very soon going down this path… God Help us,,,

  17. Rush Limbaugh’s address to the nation – how funny. He could have left the heaven joke out of the equation. Rush’s saying are correct he when he states that people of the United States do not know who Republicans are and what they are about. All of this being stated, the Republican party will have to stick with this foundation Rush Limbaugh has laid out for them for sometime to come to come because he is the only who has ever stated, vocally, what the Republican Party is about.
