Angelina Jolie looks fantastic as a blonde.   No, Brad Pitt’s partner didn’t decide on a whim to change her look.   It is for a new movie role.  The actress, who has leased the Long Island estate Sassafras in order to keep her family close, begins filming Salt this week in New York.

The actress will co-star with Liev Schreiber.  Jolie plays a CIA officer who is accused by a defector of being a Russian sleeper spy.  She must elude capture long enough to clear her name.

Brad and their six children will be within easy commuting distance for Angelina, who plans to return to their rented estate after her work on the set is finished each day, though some filming will take place in Washington D.C.   Check out the twins here.

We can’t wait to see this one – unfortunately it isn’t slated for release until sometime in 2010.
