R&B singer Chris Brown was charged by the L.A. County DA with two felonies counts; assault and making a criminal threat.  These charges stem from a fight that he and girlfriend singer Rihanna got into on February 8th.

The case will go forward even though it seems as though the couple have since reconciled.  TMZ published a photo of Rihanna last week and clearly she was beaten badly.  According to those close to the case, the initial photo was nothing compared to additional photos that were taken the next day, when the swelling was full blown.  Those photos have not been released but will be used in the  case against Brown.

Rihanna’s name has yet to be disclosed as the victim and court papers refer to her as “Robyn F”.   If Chris is convicted he could receive as much as four years and eight months behind bars.
