Sammy Hagar Makes $80 Million on Tequila
Van Halen star Sammy Hagar became famous many years ago for his singing abilities and then started a new business venture – making Cabo Wabo tequila. It looks like that may have been the best decision of his life! Hagar just sold 80% of his business for a whopping $80 million.
“We ended up with a large booze company owning 80 percent and me keeping 20 percent. I’m completely happy. The check didn’t bounce. I have everything I could possibly want…I’m still playing music because it’s awesome. I don’t need to do it for the money. I do it for me.”
Hagar’s latest band is called Chickenfoot. Other members of the band include ex-bandmate Micheal Anthony, Red Hot Chili Peppers star Chad Smith and guitar great Joe Satriani.
Cheers to Sammy!
