Andrew ‘Test’ Martin, 33 year old former WWE wrestler, was discovered dead at his residence in Tampa last night.  A neighbor became concerned and asked police to do a welfare check at the Post Harbor Apartments.

Officers arrived at 8:00 p.m. and found Martin’s body.  Authorities do not suspect foul play.  The Tampa coroner’s office has  scheduled an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The Canadian born 6′6″, 280 lb. wrestler debuted in 1997 and went by ring names Big Foot, Martin Kane, Test and T.J. Thunder.  He retired from the WWE in 2008 and was currently employed by NWA-TNA Wresting under the ring name ‘The Punisher’ Andrew Martin.

During his WWE run, he earned various titles as Intercontinental, European, Hardcore and Tag-Team champion.

Martin would have turned 34 on St. Patrick’s Day.

  3. I would like to say something about Andrew. We at the Village Inn in Tampa knew Andrew in a different way than most of you. Andrew came in our restauraunt almost every day. He told one of our girls, he liked coming in to escape the pressures of his life and because we treated him like a regular person. Andrew was sweet, kind and generous. He never put on airs with us and seemed quite lonely. We really liked him alot and we will miss seeing him. We are very saddened by his death. We love you Andrew! God Bless You!
