Alyssa Milano: ‘Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic’
Charmed star Alyssa Milano has been seen on the arm of some high profile baseball players and is now telling the world about her experiences. The actress’ new book Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic, details her relationships, steroid use and her love of the game.
“Other women dream of papaya facials and mango pedicures. Give me a hot dog, a pitchers’ duel and a late inning suicide squeeze, and I melt like hot pine tar.”
Milano first revealed her love of the game when she came out with a sports clothing line called Touch. Chronicling her addiction to the game, she says she remembers, as a child, her father’s feelings of betrayal when the Dodger’s fled and broke his heart. They were able to reconnect again with the Dodgers when Alyssa landed her role on Who’s the Boss.
The actress went on to date Brad Penny, Carl Pavano and Barry Zito. Currently Milano is engaged to CAA talent agent David Bugliari. After dating for a little over a year, they got engaged on December 18, 2008. No wedding date has been set.
Her thoughts on steroid use in the industry? Milano says, “The big difference between injecting Botox and with taking human growth hormones is that there are no rules against Botox.”
Safe at Home hits book stores today, March 24, 2009.
