Carrie Underwood accepted the ACM Entertainer of the Year award at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music ceremony on Sunday night.  This was after already receiving the award for CMA Top Female Artist.

The former American Idol winner said, “I’ve had a lot of big moments in the past four years and this takes the cake.”

Underwood performed her song while wearing what she described as her ‘red lava dress’.  The creation was a big secret until Sunday night.  Dress rehearsal was off limits to cameras so that she would have the element of surprise during the award show – see photo below.
