Jon & Kate Plus 8 Go Green In One-Hour TLC Special
For those who are needing a fresh Jon & Kate Plus 8 ‘fix’ while waiting for Season 5 to begin, you’re in luck. The Gosselin family recently filmed a one-hour special that will air on the TLC channel April 19, 2009.
The host of Planet Green Renovation Nation, Steve Thomas will show Jon Gosselin and his wife Kate Gosselin how to turn their new home into a more energy efficient structure. They’ll be installing solar thermal panels on the roof and lining their driveway with new solar lights.
For those not already in the know, the couple have eight kids: Mady, Cara, Aaden, Hannah, Leah, Joel, Collin and Alexis who will get into the ‘going green‘ act too. The sextuplets will turn 5 on May 10 and the twins will turn 9 on October 8.
Though Season 5 looked doubtful after Jon and Kate’s once solid marriage appeared to develop some cracks, we can all rest easier because they have signed on for another season. The couple will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on June 12. One of the highlights of season four was the family trip to Hawaii, where the couple renewed their wedding vows.

How green can they go? Does that mean that they are no longer feeding the kids off of 1300 paper plates a month because K can’t load ten plates in the dishwasher?
Does that mean that they will no longer feed the kids milk out of gallon plastic jugs — you know the kind that is storebrand and NOT ORGANIC?
How will their HUMMER fit into their green lifestyle?
How will having a huge house with unused space sucking up heat and lights fit into being green?
Just asking the fake and phony “organic green” couple.

i am soooooo with u nattttty. i have been waiting and waiting for the new season. they are such cute kids, but i want to see what happens to them as they keep getting older. and to optimistic. have u even watched the show, cause if u did, u wouldn’t be sayin that. they have to have a big car and house because there is ten of them. and the paper plates and food they buy are organic. havent u ever heard of organic grocery stores?

i think that i have seen every show of jon and kate. as the episodes went on i found kate getting repulsive. kate bosses jon around like he is a slave. its always JONNNNN,JONNN.get your kids while she stands there with her hands on her hips.she is soooo lucky that he has stuck around. kate you need to sit baxk and check yourself. kate you also need to control MATTYshe is such a BRAT. the episode when you moved into your overly expensive house. one of the girls czame to her room and MATTYkept kicking her she is ruining the show with her diva attitude YEAH RIGHT.help her change because when she gets closer to those upper years u will NOT be able to control her good luck and take a good look at yourself. you are not SPECIAL JUST GREEDY.

This family is getting painful to watch. Can Kate be anymore ungrateful to the workers who install the solar panels? And what is it with the spray tan?!
I guess Kate is green since she has her own private organic CHEF. Such a BIATCH! How rude could she be to the happy green guy? He was just giving her 10s of thousands of dollars worth of free solar panels and others stuff.
I hate her for getting Beth fired. Her own SIL.
She is a spoiled brat.
How grateful does any woman have to be to workmen??? Isn’t their paycheck enough? Steve Thomas was acting obnoxious with kate. He was treating her as tho she was a teenage girl. He was trying to be a comedian and keep his face in the camera. After she has been a disciplined mother of eight, he wanted to be the man who broke down Kate. Wouldn’t that be a feather in his cap.
I agree that Jon & Kate are not very supportive of each other. And their children are picking up on that; Matty’s remark “THE QUEEN” is illustrative. They should watch The Dog Whisperer for his common sense tips about supportive family members. If they want their children to grow up with a good value system they need to educate themselves. Parents who stand shoulder to shoulder in support of each other and their children build a strong foundation for a very happy family. I want them to succeed. I love them and their show.
As for the spray tan, if it’s true, what’s wrong with that? Better than skin cancer.
Unfortunately, when there are no financial worries people don’t work as hard on their relationships. That would be a shame because the children are likely to follow the example. It goes on and on and on.
I should have said – It appears – that Jon & Kate are not very supportive of each other.
Raising a family can become a real bore. I think Jon & Kate have become real actors. As with any actors they do what the boss tells them to do to keep the ratings up. The station would even provide the rumors.
Eventually the actors want to quit. Contract time rolls around and the boss promises a better image and more perks. The actors have become accustomed to the money, and relying on the income have gone so far as to plan ahead . They get locked in until the station runs out of ideas and drops them. You thought you were reading between the lines while all the time the station was shouting reasons for you to continue clicking on their channel to see if Kate is driving Jon away, or is Kate having altogether too much fun for a mother of eight.
The station won’t take a chance on you returning to the boring life of Jon and Kate. They will give you reason to return. It’s business–they have to plan ahead or you would never know what’s on TV for sure. TV programs are not just happenstance reality, a lot of planning goes into this. Believe it!
I wonder how many trees it took to make 1300 plates for Kate to feed her brood on–Now for publicity reasons they claim to be green! How real can that be–how much more will TLC try to keeping sucking us in to this farce of a family and show!
I am utterly disgusted with Kate’s nasty, nasty behavior. She is very ungrateful and sarcastic. I used to love love love this show but I just cannot stomach Kate anymore & am not watching season 5. I was doing housework & TLC was re-running the Go Green show, which I had never seen… After watching it now, post-breakup of their marraige…. Its so obvious they were unhappy. Not that Jon is a saint either…. he’s like a 14 year old boy in a grown man’s body. *Sigh* Sad when a family falls apart on national TV….. Sadder that we all watch it happen & call in entertainment. I am as guilty of this as any…
Omg guys really ru guys going to spend ur time here when u can be listening to my music duh? shame on you! anyways i really love jon and kate but why do they have to get divoriced ! why r they going to do that to their poor children oh yeah my favorite kid is Aaden leah and alexis bye hope i can see you in my next concert!
