Jamie Foxx is eating crow after making some outrageous comments about Miley Cyrus on his weekend radio show.  Among other things, the comedian suggested that the teen singing sensation get a gum transplant, do heroin and crack and catch a sexually transmitted disease.

Foxx was singing a different tune when he sat down with Jay Leno last night.  He reached out to the young celeb and her family, apparently for the first time, and apologized profusely.

He said, “I am a comedian and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it.  And sometimes as comedians we go a little bit too far.  You know my heart, Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you.  I got a daughter too, so I completely understand.”
