Last night was results night on American Idol and after the 36 million votes were tallied, Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud ended up in the bottom three.  Anoop was sent back to the safe side to join Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen.

Ryan Seacrest played his game of cat and mouse with the two remaining Idol contestants.  Matt Giraud ended up to be the bottom vote getter on the FOX reality show and sang another rendition of Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman.  After a great deal of huddling, the judges decided to use their one time save to keep Matt.

Simon Cowell warned the throng of contestants who were surrounding Giraud with their congratulatory good wishes that they shouldn’t be so happy about the results.  He tersely reminded the Top Seven that they will be performing Disco hits on next weeks show and two people will be eliminated.
