Paul McCartney Takes on the European Parliament
Singer and animal right advocate Paul McCartney is using his celebrity voice to get the European Parliament to enact a ban on the sale of all seal products. In his quest to stop hunters from viciously killing the animals for their meat and skin, he has lent his support in the fight to make it illegal to hunt seal.
In Strasbourg next week there will be a vote by the MEP to implement a complete ban. Paul released a statement on the matter.
“The fate of millions of seal pups is in the hands of elected members of the European Parliament. In the next few weeks they will have a historic opportunity to stop the cruel trade in seal products throughout the European Union.”
Actress Pamela Anderson is also fighting the same battle with Russia. It should be interesting to see if their star power will have some impact on this matter.

He’s an artist with no historic family connection nor any other connection to people that live of the land so to speak.
My respect for that guy diminish for each day now, he’s not interested in even a dialog with to see if alternative jobs is possible in regions no where close of cities or industrial centers and so on.
What on earth should people live on and how to deal with traditions which goes back thousands of years in cases. What should they be proud of and hand out to the next generation. That one music artist shut down their life ?
Is that something to work with, the certain death of tribes and the way of life for many ?
What should politics in this case consist of, just the animal itself ? Isolated cases tends to be overturned and I will make big efforts trying to do that. And I’m no lightweight either.
Starting to blog today, boycotting Beatles, McCartney and english products.
I will Ban music made by Paul McCartney after his stupid campain against Seal Hunting. Seal Hunting is essential to keep the number of Seals on a sustainable level. One Seal eat about 2 kg fish every day. The growing amount of people in the world needs more and more food every day…and 2 kg of fish eaten by Seal mean 2 kg less to be eaten by people.
