Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal and her boyfriend of seven years, Peter Sarsgaard were married on Saturday May 2, 2009 in romantic Italy.

The Dark Knight star has been engaged to film and Broadway actor since 2006.  His latest film project is the thriller Orphan.  Currently in post-production, it is slated for July release.  They have a two year old daughter Ramona.

The couple chose a small chapel in Brindisi for the nuptials.  They were joined by family and friends, including her brother, actor Jake Gyllenhaal and his actress girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.
