Actor Kiefer Sutherland evidently lost control at an after party that followed his appearance at the Met Ball.  Reports are surfacing that Sutherland headbutted designer Jack McCollough, causing injury to the unsuspecting victim’s nose.

Sutherland was chatting it up with Brooke Shields when McCollough apparently interrupted the conversation.  Witnesses report that Sutherland was drunk and obnoxious and wouldn’t back down or be logical, pulling a stupid wrestling move like a teenager.

Brooke Shield’s rep said that nothing happened to her.  She was shoved but was not in any way injured.  She and Sutherland were expected to speak with police investigators on Wednesday.

McCollough, who is one-half of the design team Proenza Schouler, received a cut on the nose.
